Ploy Chariyaves is one of the most influential lifestyle gurus of Thailand. She is also an artist, translator, and writer with more than 20 books published about travel, fashion, coffee, breakfast, and lifestyle. She came to us with an idea of making a collaborative book project devoting to the overall theme of the morning journey. The project combines fine detail of the book and casual quality of magazine, hence the name “Morning Journey Zine” (MJZ).

The book’s sections are each represented by different delightful morning stories: Wander, Walk, Feast, Deck, Slow and Think covering lifestyle, must-see spots both local and abroad and inspiring hobby. Our goal was to reflect each writer’s character on the layout and we wanted to fill the pages with Chariyaves’s fun and eclectic tastes. The book displays patterns, bright graphic wallpaper using vibrant colour and typography in relation to the contents.
