Love Readers

To express our feelings and in return for our readers’ 23 years of support, at this year’s National Book Fair —held at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) for the very last time— our stories and journeys were conveyed through the “Truck of Happiness”. This truck-like structure was used as a passage to pass on the joyful memories from the current location to the new location, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. With the addition of humorous, colorful, and guileless characters of trucks’ bumper stickers, we were able to convey our stories and messages in a friendly yet fun way —a known characteristic of Thais. And to reduced the amount of consumable materials, reusable materials were used on the design of the “Love Readers Area” .

The main concept of the 47th National Book Fair & 17th Bangkok International Book Fair 2019 was “Love Readers”. This concept was chosen to reflect the continuous love and relationships shared between readers, writers, publishers, and book fair organizers. Spaces for varieties of activities were available in the main area of this year’s National Book Fair. Activities are, such as book repair workshop, “Cheer Reader” souvenir shop, and “Book Blind Date” activity. Areas where visitors can take photos and exchange thoughts and impressions of the National Book Fair through an interactive system, were also available, as well as, an exhibition features the long-lasting history and journey of the National Book Fair.
