Bangkok Bank is one of the largest regional banks in Southeast Asia, spanning business in 15 economies worldwide. Established in 1944, Bangkok Bank is Thailand's market leader with the country's largest retail customer base offering full commercial banking services. Every year, Bangkok Bank publishes a calendar to send to their customers. We were asked to design a calendar for the year 2015 under the title AEC: Diversity and Harmony. The formation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is a major milestone in the regional economic integration agenda in ASEAN.

We employed the banknote style engraving to illustrate a series of landmarks of the ten AEC member countries to reflect the banking business and celebrate new opportunities of shared prosperity in the global economy. The graphical elements, patterns, and colour palette have been sourced from the original banknotes and carefully crafted into a new visual language, harmoniously integrated to express artistic values of each country. The cover unites the diversity of each national identity into a grand single visual resembled the power of the ASEAN community.
